Even at the age of 88, Uno Akiyoshi continues to paint striking works. This work is a collection of works inspired by his own choice of haiku. Using a unique technique of applying plaster to the canvas, creating a base, and then painting over it, this collection contains 44 new works that were created over a period of about two years from 2020 to 2021. Each work makes use of printing techniques such as cold foil, fluorescent colors, and white printing on colored paper, making this a luxurious collection that fully demonstrates the unique style of Uno, who is also a graphic designer.
