Lapis lazuli is a vivid blue color with a deep purple hue.

Originally, lapis lazuli was a gemstone produced on Mount Sumeru, which stands at the center of the Buddhist world, and is one of the seven treasures of Buddhism. The color of lapis lazuli, named after the gemstone, was also regarded as the supreme color and sacred.

[About the Kyoto Sounds Series]
"Kyoto no Oto" is a series of writing inks that recreate traditional Japanese colors used since the Heian period with modern techniques and interpretations. Each color has its own unique name and story.
This dye ink was developed exclusively by TAG STATIONERY in collaboration with the Kyoto Plant Dyeing Laboratory, a group of dyeing and weaving experts.
This is a distinctive ink that takes advantage of the bleeding characteristic of dyes to create a gradation of light and dark shades.
- Because dye ink dissolves in water, you can use it to write with the ink and then use a water brush to blur or thin the color, allowing you to create a variety of different expressions.
