Sora no Kotoba: To treasure and protect

The name "Zenichigo" comes from the fact that the flowers last a long time. In Japan, they have been used as Buddhist flowers.
The English name is "bachelor's button."
It is said that people would meet their lovers with this flower in their pocket, and the outcome of their love would be predicted by whether the flower withered or not.

The pink parts that look like petals are actually leaves that protect the flower.
The actual flower peeks out from between the petals.
