A writer living in Brooklyn, New York, USA, who also works as a painter and installation artist.
His major works include The Lost Penguin (Sony Magazines), which was adapted into a film and won the BAFTA Children's Animation Award, Look, I'm Here: Notes for Living on This Earth (both published by Holp Publishing), which reached number one on the New York Times bestseller list and was selected as Time Magazine's Best Book of the Year, A Request from a Crayon! (both published by Holp Publishing), and The Story of a Boy Who Eats a Mysterious Book at Night (Village Books), among many others.
Since his debut, he has won numerous awards and his books have been translated into more than 50 languages around the world.

A Japanese-English-Korean translator living in Tokyo. Graduated from the Department of English and American Literature at the Faculty of Literature, Aoyama Gakuin University, and completed the Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation at Ewha Women's University in Korea.
