A collaboration between Japan's proud craftsmanship and coffee equipment manufacturer Kalita. While maintaining the ease of use of Kalita, the traditional craft of Yamanaka lacquerware is used for the lacquer finish, allowing you to enjoy the luxury and distinctive texture of lacquer. As each piece is hand-painted by a Yamanaka lacquer artisan, no two pieces have the same pattern, making for a truly unique product. Traditionally, lacquer could only be applied to wooden products, but recent technological advances have made it possible to apply lacquer to stainless steel, ceramics, and other materials as well.
In Yamanaka Lacquerware's lacquered sandalwood series, gold powder is sprinkled on the product using the unique "lacquer flow" technique to create a pattern that resembles sparkling flowing water. The Wave Dripper, which is the base of the product, is designed to allow anyone, from beginners to professional baristas, to easily enjoy the best flavor.
A Kalita original product that you can enjoy. The dedicated Wave Filter 185/155 has 20 pleats that form a wave, reducing the contact surface with the dripper, allowing air to escape easily and coffee to be extracted smoothly.
In addition, even if you pour the hot water unevenly, the flat wave zone (bottom) makes it easy to mix the hot water evenly with the grounds. This is a dripper that anyone can use to brew coffee well.
