While maintaining the ease of use of Kalita, the lacquer finish of the traditional craft of Yamanaka lacquerware allows you to enjoy the luxury and distinctive texture of lacquer.
Each piece is hand-painted by a Yamanaka lacquer artisan using this technique, so no two pieces have the same pattern, making them exquisite pieces.
It is also recommended as a gift or souvenir. You can enjoy the changes in the texture of the lacquer that appear over time.
Traditionally, lacquer painting was only possible on wooden products, but in recent years technological advances have made it possible to apply it to stainless steel, ceramics, and other materials as well.
Yamanaka Lacquerware's lacquered sandalwood series features a unique technique called "lacquer flow" in which gold powder is sprinkled on the pieces to create patterns that resemble sparkling flowing water.
The color will change slightly over time, so you'll have fun using it and watching it grow.
The most popular Kalita trapezoid dripper, the "102 Roto," has been given a lacquer finish (sandalwood).
The black color of the dripper goes well with the lacquer, resulting in a luxurious and sophisticated piece.
