Specification Takashi Homma's photographs have been all around us since the 1990s. His photographs focus on things that at first glance appear to remain the same, but are in fact constantly changing: the city of Tokyo undergoing repeated scrap-and-build renovations, the waves of the ocean rolling in and out, and mushrooms growing in the forest.
He only presses the shutter a few times per shoot. He is happy for his photographs to change depending on the medium. He lies without hesitation. He enjoys that the lies in his photographs appear true. Honma's photographs are always in flux. "I don't like things like retrospectives or generalizations." This special feature began with the words of a photographer who dislikes authoritative, pre-established harmony, and disjointedly combines his work from the past few years, his diary, conversations with others, and words from others. Just when you think you're getting close, you move away. It's a scrapbook-like volume that attempts to capture the "now" of such a being.
