Specification "THE TOKYO TOILET" is a project to renovate public toilets in Shibuya Ward by 16 architects and creators. Photographer Daido Moriyama's "Scene THE TOKYO TOILET", which he shot for the magazine "SWITCH", has finally been published as a photo book.

Furthermore, a special book was produced to unravel the creativity of the project through documentation of its launch as "THE TOKYO TOILET / MILANO" at Milan Design Week in June this year. These two books have now been published as a set in a special envelope.

This book will allow you to rediscover the wonder of Japanese toilet culture, while also highlighting the appeal of a project that is redefining what design is.

What is THE TOKYO TOILET?
Shibuya Ward is bringing you public toilets like you've never seen before. Toilets are a symbol of Japan's world-renowned "omotenashi" culture. Public toilets in 17 locations in Shibuya Ward will be reborn one after another. 16 creators active around the world have participated in the creation of each toilet.
