"MOOMIN MISCHIEVOUS NATURE" was first produced in hardcover and then softcover editions in 2022, and both were well received. It will be re-released to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the publication of the Moomin novels.
A collection of works by Finnish painter, novelist and author Tove Jansson.
The book will feature approximately 500 pieces of artwork from all nine of the original Moomin novels, all in chronological order.
The Moomins first appeared in the novel "The Moomins and the Great Flood" (1945), written by the author towards the end of World War II. Since then, the novels and characters have been loved all over the world through the ages as the "Moomin series."
This book does not contain any written information, so you can learn about the characters in the Moomin stories and their adventures, as well as Jansson's abundant talent and career as an illustrator.
The title "MISCHIEVOUS NATURE" represents the characters' quirky, mischievous, and adorable behavior, as well as the worldview depicted in the abundant nature that permeates the story.
There are many things in this world that have no place in summer, autumn, or spring.
Everyone's a little shy and a little eccentric.
Some kind of nocturnal animal, someone who doesn't fit in with everyone else, some creature that nobody believes exists.
They all sneak around and hide all year round so as not to get in the way.
Then the surroundings became quiet and still, everything was covered in white snow, the nights grew longer,
They come out when everyone else has gone to sleep for the winter.
