About the productJapanese

This is the first biography of the fantastical artist Tanaami Keiichi, and an inspiring book to train your imagination.
No matter how small or insignificant something is, we can imagine a vast universe.

This book is Tanaami Keiichi's first biographical book.
Morinaga Hiroshi accompanied Tanaami Keiichi on repeated interviews, touring second-hand bookstores, art museums, galleries, zoos and other places in cities such as Tokyo, Kyoto, Hong Kong and Stuttgart in Germany.
The exhibition recounts the rich memories of his childhood, when he experienced the extreme effects of war, his boyhood when he discovered his love for painting and film, his youth when he repeatedly encountered various artists, and his life up to the present. By moving back and forth between these stories of the past and his current life, in which he has become even more active since the start of the new century, like a piston movement, the exhibition conveys Tanaami Keiichi's excessive artistic life and discusses a wide range of philosophies and observations, including those on life, beauty, art, war, history, and customs.

Over 100 illustrations! Includes dream diaries and sketches that are the source of inspiration for Tanaami's work!
