"In December 2020, I left my familiar hometown of Okawa City in Fukuoka and
The town I came to with a 60L backpack
The Airin district of Nishinari, Osaka
Commonly known as Kamagasaki.

Kamagasaki is a city of workers where people come from all over looking for work.
The area is commonly known as Doya-gai (Doya district) because it is lined with many cheap lodgings.
As I was walking aimlessly, I noticed an attractive sign that read "3 tatami rooms for 500 yen per night."
That was the key point.
I had no job, no money, no connections, so it was perfect for me.
Without hesitation, I became a Kaname resident from that day on, and my life in Osaka began.
These are photographs of the city of Osaka that were taken mainly around Kamagasaki while the artist lived in "Kanae" for about two years and worked as a day laborer.
Looking back now, there was no deeper meaning to it, it was just a vague reason to go to Nishinari.

Kamagasaki was known as the slum of Japan.
Everything is fresh, pure and raw, the warm yet cold memories of everyday life intertwine and intertwine.
