British publisher IDEA will publish a limited edition book of photographs taken in Rome by artist and photographer Peter Schlesinger on the theme of Gucci's Pre-Fall 2018 collection.
The photographs skillfully combine cityscapes, night scenes, architectural details and dark interiors, taking the models on an unexpected, dreamlike journey.
Rome's many striking locations were chosen as a homage to the atmosphere of the films of Italian director Dario Argento. Many pages feature the screenplay of the film "Inferno" (1980) accompanied by photographs. Locations include the Aula Magna (Auditorium) of the George Eastman Dental Hospital and the Coppedè district, where scenes from "Inferno" and "The Catacombs of Joy" (1970) were shot, providing an even more atmospheric and suggestive backdrop for the photographs.
