<About the jungle and dogs>
This work on the theme of jungles and dogs is one of several series that I have been working on, and it is based on the theme of awe for nature beyond human understanding. When I was a child, I lived in a place rich in nature. In the summer, the greenery was lush, and in the winter, it snowed so much that the landscape was completely covered in white. In recent years, I cannot help but feel threatened by the pandemics that have struck humanity and the disasters that nature brings. When I was a child, I drew pictures while thinking about the beauty of nature, such as the fields and flowers that I was familiar with, and the powerlessness of humans against the overwhelming power of nature.
The dog wandering around the picture could be me, or a person looking at this painting, or a completely unrelated bystander. The dog is wandering around the picture in search of something. I hope to find something that will give me hope for tomorrow. On the other hand, since it is a domesticated dog, it may never be able to leave this lush garden.

<About landscape paintings>
I painted a seaside village at the foot of a mountain. I aim to create works that make you feel like you can walk through them. I actually go there, see it with my own eyes, make a sketch, go home and make more sketches, then move on to the canvas. In this world where the internet has developed, you can easily see any landscape in the world instantly. However, I want to actually walk there, see it and confirm it. I think it is very important to make sketches and create works.

I believe that art should be beautiful and enjoyable, and add color to someone's daily life. I will continue to work hard and improve every day so that I can create such works.
