"A journey of contemplation"
Talk event to celebrate the launch of the new travel magazine polaris
We will be holding a talk event to celebrate the launch of a new book by polaris, a travel magazine based in Japan and the UK with the concept of a "journey of reflection."
The travel magazine polaris is a magazine that explores the meaning and possibilities of travel from the perspectives of design and cultural anthropology.
In his new book, "Awe," he embarks on a journey to explore the meaning and possibilities of awe, visiting a hip-hop label in a British prison, an independent magazine in wartime Ukraine, and the German art festival Documenta15.
At the talk event, cultural anthropologist Hiroshi Nakamura and editor Takao Kubo will hold a talk session on the theme of "travel and stories," incorporating the perspectives of cultural anthropology, editing, and design.
A collaboration fair between the magazine Polaris and SHONAN TSUTAYA BOOKS SHONAN TSUTAYA BOOKS being held in the humanities section on the first floor of Building 1. Editors Hiroshi Nakamura and Takao Kubo will each introduce books that consider the appeal and meaning of travel from various angles through a humanistic perspective.
