[profile]
Kierisha
The kiln was established in Inabe City, Mie Prefecture in 2008. This is a ceramic production studio run by Ayata and Toshie Makino. Kieri means "language" in Finnish. The works they create are the artist's language, and the studio name means a small atelier filled with that language. They create ceramics, ceramic objects, and ceramic accessories with motifs of poetic landscapes, nature, and animals.
The concept is to create a picture on the dining table by arranging various shaped dishes. Arrange objects to tell a story from the everyday.
A gentle entrance to the extraordinary in a familiar everyday space.
Exhibited at Matsumoto Craft Fair in 2008 and 2009
In 2017, the "Kierisha Ceramic Handicraft Exhibition" was held at the Isetan Shinjuku store.
Since then, he has held numerous solo exhibitions and pop-ups at galleries and shops across the country.
