2024年06月28日(金) - 07月23日(火)
Artist Amano Takeru's solo exhibition "Flowers and Venus -Venus & Flowers-" was held at GINZA ATRIUM from Friday, June 28th to Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024.
Takeru Amano is an artist who continues to create works using his own technique called "NEWART", which combines pop art and classical art. His work is characterized by simple brushstrokes and vivid colors, and he has many fans overseas, including in Paris, London, New York, and Hong Kong.
This exhibition featured approximately 40 two-dimensional works, centered on new drawings that instantly and freely express the artist's emotions and thoughts. In the new works, Takeru Amano's signature motif, the goddess of love and beauty, "VENUS," is depicted as a symbol of "the joy of summer" along with landscapes of flowers blooming in the sunlight and mountain scenery. The VENUS depicted in the works is confident, unique, and elegant, expressing the diversity and splendor of women.
In the center of the venue, there were exhibits of Arita ware that Takeru Amano painted specially for this exhibition, and the 2m tall VENUS sculpture that was on display for four days only at the entrance of Laforet Harajuku this spring. The world of Takeru Amano's work was expressed throughout the venue.
