overview

Last year, a collection of works by Akira Yamaguchi, a painter who is highly acclaimed both in Japan and abroad, was published by the French publisher "LES ÉDITIONS DE LA CERISE". When it was first published, it sold out without being distributed in Japan, but a reprint was completed this fall and it will now be available in Japan. This is the first collection of works by an artist in four years since the publication of "Akira Yamaguchi Shinran Complete Illustration Collection" (Seigensha) in 2019. It is a large volume with a slipcase, a highly artistic book design and binding, and a very beautiful and luxurious book. This book contains various types of works, including illustrations for books, paintings, reproductions, sculptures, commissioned works, and drawings, including works that have not been published in Japan. The bold editing, which makes use of the image of the works unique to overseas publications, is also attractive. To commemorate the publication of this book, we will be holding a signing session with Akira Yamaguchi.
