The winner of the first "TSUTAYA Picture Book Award," chosen by TSUTAYA bookstore staff, was "The Bread Thief."

The "Bread Thief vs. Fake Bread Thief" series written by Shibata Keiko has been popular for its surreal and playful characters, and has won numerous other awards, including first place in the 2nd "TSUTAYA Picture Book Awards" with "Bread Thief vs. Fake Bread Thief."

A pop-up store for the picture book series "The Bread Thief" will open at DAIKANYAMA TSUTAYA BOOKS from April 17th!

We will be selling original POPUP STORE items in a spacious space.

*There will not be a space where you can experience the works this time.

Only limited items are sold at the Bread Thief POPUP STORE.

*Sales will end at 8pm on the final day ((Tue), May 7th).

Born in Kochi Prefecture. Picture book works include the "Meganeko" series (Tegamisha), the "Polar Bear" series (PHP Institute), and the "Bread Thief" series (KADOKAWA). Her favorite breads are cheese bread and twisted bread with chocolate.
