The Eurocentric culture of "career break."

Unlike in Japan, where a career gap, such as a temporary separation from work or leave of absence, is called a "blank," in the US, it is seen as a period to improve one's life. A book explaining this culture of career breaks has been published in Japan for the first time.

The author, Kitano Takahiro, representative of the Career Break Research Institute, a general incorporated association, and Shimada Aya, a leading essayist from the Kansai region, appeared as guests as people who have experienced career breaks.

Joined the JR West Group as a new graduate and worked on producing station buildings such as "Lucua Osaka". Guest: Aya Shimada (essayist)
Graduated from university without making any decisions. After working on social design in the education and job-hunting fields for 10 years, he quit his company without making any decisions either. Just as he was starting to raise money saying, "I'll do anything for 10,000 yen a day!", he wrote a note entitled "I'm going to buy a white T-shirt at Uniqlo this Sunday and cry," which became a hot topic, and he began his career as a writer. He is currently experimenting with different lifestyles, opening up 94% of his home to people in their teens and twenties.
