Sarasa

Cafe Restaurant

We will be closed from (Wed)

Sarasa, a long-established cafe with 40 years of history in Kyoto, has opened its first branch outside of the city in Hirakata.

In 1984, a group of creative young people who love making things bought a townhouse in Tominokoji-Sanjo.
The interior of the store was renovated and the furniture and fixtures were brought together to create CAFÉ "Sarasa."
The origin of "sarasa" comes from the dyed and woven fabric "sarasa," which spread from India to various parts of the country and has undergone flexible changes.
We want our store to remain beloved by customers, while remaining true to our philosophy of "eternal change" and adapting to the latest trends.
We wish you the best.

Special attention to drinks and sweets

A cozy restaurant with an open space and spacious seats

The restaurant is located on a corner and has large glass windows, giving it a sense of openness and plenty of seating with a view outside.
You can relax in the space whether you are alone or with your family.

Although it is a long-established restaurant, it is also flexible and has always been sensitive to the needs of the times, quickly incorporating them into its menu.
In addition to the daily lunch menu, Hirakata will offer popular lunch menus such as chicken steak and hamburger steak, which are hearty meals for both men and women among the six stores in Kyoto. Among them, curry made with Kyoto vegetables has been popular with many customers for a long time.

Special attention to drinks and sweets

In Kyoto, dark roasting has long been a part of the coffee culture, and we serve carefully selected beans, roasted in-house, and made with care.
The tea used is from Uharu, a brand of tea based in Kyoto.
We use Uji matcha in our drinks and sweets, and we hope to give you a taste of Kyoto by incorporating ingredients from Kyoto into a variety of menu items.
For sweets, we will be using the popular tart recipe made by Sarasa Baked Goods Workshop, with an emphasis on the seasonal feel, and will be creating tarts using fresh fruits that are in season, as standard menu items at HIRAKATA T-SITE store.
