[Fair/Event] UBE×ART× TRIP / Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture.

Art | Travel | DAIKANYAMA TSUTAYA BOOKS
TSUTAYA BOOKS Building 3, 1F Travel Floor 2024年10月28日(月) - 11月10日(日)

Did you know that the world's oldest outdoor sculpture exhibition is being held in Japan?
Ube City in Yamaguchi Prefecture was the first city in Japan to adopt the concept of "urban development through art" and become a city of sculpture created by its citizens.
The UBE Biennale, which began in this town in 1961, will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year and will be certified by the Guinness World Records™ as the "longest-running outdoor sculpture exhibition" in March 2024.

DAIKANYAMA TSUTAYA BOOKS will be offering a trip entitled "UBE×ART×TRIP" to experience the "life with art" that is alive and well in this town.
When you walk through city areas or parks where outdoor sculptures are installed, you feel as if you are inside a giant work of art. Art that can be experienced in everyday life develops children's imaginations and leads to further development of urban development.

This year's ART TRIP is not just about looking, it's a journey to experience life with art.
We look forward to welcoming you in a city sculpting the future.
