[Event & Online Streaming (ZOOM)] Talk show celebrating the publication of "New Kimono to Enrich Your Life" by Keita Senji, owner of Ginza Motoji, published by Asahi Shimbun Publications - Making kimono an option for your wardrobe -
【overview】
A talk event will be held to commemorate the release of the first book by Ginza Motoji Senji Keita, who is actively working to spread kimono culture both domestically and internationally, titled "New Kimono that Enriches Life" (Asahi Shimbun Publications).
This book is based on the concept of "using kimonos as part of your wardrobe as part of your everyday fashion" and introduces everything from how to wear kimonos as everyday wear to kimono styles to suit any occasion, while also covering the basics of kimono.
While showing off rare and precious kimonos and materials that you would rarely see, Izumiji will talk about the appeal of kimonos from various angles, from his unique perspective, including the production of the book, threads, dyeing, weaving, tips on how to put on a kimono, manners for different actions and situations, and coordination.
There will also be a photo session after the talk. We hope you will join us.
