[Exhibition] "Small Oil Paintings" by Hiroshi Uchida

Art
TSUTAYA BOOKS No. 2, 1st floor, Art Floor 2024年11月01日(金) - 11月17日(日)
A new challenge by Uchida Hiroshi, a Western-style painter known for his meticulous oil paintings.

Even if you think, "That's a beautiful painting," there is limited space or wall space available to display it, so you can't easily keep it on hand.
Uchida listened to the voices of his fans and put a lot of effort into creating his "small oil paintings."

The numerous works presented in this exhibition, which has the image of "small treasures," are painted on thin copper plates using traditional classical techniques, small but delicately, to suit modern lifestyles. Copperplate oil paintings are almost unknown in Japan, but they have a long history as missionaries would carry them with them when they went abroad to spread their faith, as they are durable and compact.

Uchida's works, which mainly consist of still lifes, draw the viewer into a world of tranquility.
Why not decorate your room with a small oil painting that is full of the charm of classical techniques?

This exhibition also features a collaboration with "Nukaji Yuyuga Miyai Yuzuru," who creates unique frames for his artworks. By framing Uchida's artworks in Miyai's frames, they become fresh, catchy, and familiar works.
Please come and see these special works.
