Have you heard of the "Morning Cruise"?
Thank you for always visiting DAIKANYAMA TSUTAYA BOOKS website.
My name is Kiyono and I am a concierge at the car and bike section of DAIKANYAMA TSUTAYA BOOKS.
As the title suggests, this time I will talk about an event called a Morning Cruise.
The Morning Cruise is a themed event that takes place on the second Sunday of every month at DAIKANYAMA T-SITE parking lot, where car enthusiasts gather together.

The Morning Cruise is a themed event that takes place on the second Sunday of every month at DAIKANYAMA T-SITE parking lot, where car enthusiasts gather together.
We have held the event over 80 times to date, and if you include the special editions that are held irregularly, the total exceeds 100.
The idea for this event originally came about when we were talking with a regular customer who said, "It would be nice if we could get together in the parking lot."
At first, the event was held without deciding on a theme.
The idea for this event originally came about when we were talking with a regular customer who said, "It would be nice if we could get together in the parking lot."
At first, the event was held without deciding on a theme.
However, with each event, the number of participants gradually increased through word of mouth (I think), and by the seventh event, the parking lot was full. (Our parking lot can accommodate 120 cars.)
So we decided to hold the event on a specific theme.
The theme of the event is decided through conversations between staff and customers.
So while there are car-related themes such as "Porsche 911" and "Bugatti," there are also themes that are not so much related to cars, such as "green cars" and "cars born in the Heisei era," so there is a great deal of variety.

I think that the Morning Cruise is an event that never gets boring, but rather gives a fresh feeling every time. As I write this blog, recalling each and every one of the events up to now, the one that left the biggest impression on me was "DINO CLASSIC WEEKEND 2016."
It was quite a shock to see over 20 rare Ferrari Dino models lined up in front of me, but the impact of the McLaren F1, which I had never seen before (in fact, it was the first time I had seen one!), was so strong that I still remember it to this day.
Personally, when it comes to hosting the morning cruise, I have the desire to have car enthusiasts gather together in a relaxed atmosphere.
We will hold the event around a set theme, but of course people outside of that theme are also welcome.
As with the many classic cars, it's also a lot of fun to meet the owners, so I decided to write this blog in the hope that everyone will take a look when the museum reopens.
However, the situation remains tense for now.

Everyone, please take care of your health.
They also make handkerchiefs with the Morning Cruise logo on them.
